Ick

37 days until we leave for London.

37 days I have to feel better in order to withstand the rigors of walking and walking and walking to keep up the pace. With kids.

Today, I am planning a trip to the Y and looking up some good recipes on allrecipes.com. I love that site! I found a balsamic chicken breast recipe and a Cowboy Caviar recipe I haven't tasted since summer. I so need a taste of summer right now--fresh herbs: parsley, basil, thyme, rosemary, cilantro, chives. Oh, how I miss them! I know I could grow them inside, but for some reason, I don't. I wait...and growing season is SO short here. Ick.

Anyway, could I be more bloated right now? Do you ever just long for your period to start, already? I feel and look pregnant. The older I get, the worse PMS gets too. Ick.

In the past when I've been on missions to seriously shed some poundage, I've always done it alone--on my own. Yes, it's been done before, but it's been 10 years since I did it in a serious way. I spent my entire 30's in very poor shape after my last pregnancy.  I feel sad to say that. I'm hoping the 40's are better, but I so lack the motivation although last night I felt so horribly awful (thanks in large part to PMS) that I think it's really time. But oh, how I love food...and lots of it...and the good stuff (cheese, wine, carbs, etc...).

Feeling very ugly right now. I think I'll go do some laundry and avoid all mirrors. Yay, me.

Your trip will rock sister! What a wonderful thing to do for your kids too, I'm so excited for them! Such an opportunity to see how others live and get exposed to some tremendous things! Can't wait to see and hear about it all. Good luck on preparing physically, you can do it!

You know it is really all in your mind! I have a fab workout (if you’re interested). I am by nature, LAZY! However, I am willing, due to my vanity, to work out sometimes. Physique 57 is a "Barre" based workout. 3 - 5 lb. weights, playground ball, & their DVD's. Two 30 minute and one 57 minute workout (I do the 30 min if I don't have time or inclination). Amazing results with no change in my diet and fairly minimal effort (in my opinion). Enjoy your trip. I’m jealous!
